With CalDav and CardDav, you can synchronize your calendar and address book across multiple devices, such as smartphones and tablets, using your favorite applications that support CalDav and CardDav. And you can use any e-mail app available on your device, including the native app for calendar and contacts.
Add the calendar or contact list to your app
1. In your app, find the option to Add account/Add Calendar and select a new account of type CalDav / CardDav.
2. Select Manual Setup or Advanced Setup.
3. Fill in the advanced details:
USER INFORMATION
Calendar Name: the name that will be displayed. It can be your full name, the name of the Company, etc.
Username: your full email address, for example, john.doe@example.com or john@mydomain.com.
Get your CalDav (Calendar) / CardDav (Contacts) URLs
CalDAV is for Calendar synchronization, and CardDAV is for Contacts.
- Go to the Webmail. For example, webmail.mydomain.com
- Log in using your full e-mail address and your current e-mail password
- Click on the User icon from the top right to activate the menu. Then click on My account
- In the Synchronization tab, find the CalDAV / CardDAV URL. You will need to copy and use these URLs and paste them into your app. (Remember to replace mydomain--com with your domainname)
LOGIN INFORMATION
User Name / Email address / Username: your full email address
Password: the password of your email address (the existing password that you set up when you created the email address)
